NEWMACHAR VILLAGE HALL 1992

ELLON ACADEMY ART AND DESIGN DEPARTMENT
This department in Ellon Academy showed a very innovative approach to their project work by encouraging the pupils to design environmentally sympathetic and attractive areas in Ellon.
KEMNAY PRIMARY SCHOOL
The school worked hard to create a fine wildlife garden in the grounds. The pupils were involved from the planning stage and the project also involved the community at large.
ARNHALL MOSS LOCAL NATURE RESERVE
The first local nature reserve to be declared in Gordon District. Many people from staff at Gordon District Council to local residents were involved in this work to recognise a superb area.
WILDLIFE AT WHITEHAUGH LODGE, BURNHERVIE
Mr Dave Lunney showed what can be achieved with hard work and commitment by turning an agricultural field into a great wildlife area in just five years.
GORDON AREA SCOUT COUNCIL CAMP SITE
Yet another fine effort that is turning a piece of woodland that was in danger of loosing much of its wildlife potential through the invasion of Sycamore, into a lovely mixed wood once again.
MURRAY PARK ALFORD
An area that has been set aside for many years as a site for the people of Alford to enjoy. Well managed for both people and wildlife.
THOMAS TAIT & SONS
A large company that have recognised their responsibility to the local environment by installing high tech. efficient plant at the Inverurie works that will help to control pollution in the River Don.
WEST EDINGARIOCH FARM
A lot of hard work put into creating an organic farm by two young ladies, fully committed to helping people enjoy good fresh food, free from additives of any kind.
