1. Introduction:
Convenor – Jackie Cumberbirch – Welcomed all those present to the AGM and Green Butterfly Awards.

2. Apologies:
Ron Reid, Chris Edwards, Sue Edwards

3. Acceptance of Minute for 2007 Annual General Meeting
Accepted as a true record of the previous meeting, proposed by Kath Hamper, seconded by Mavis Wainman.

4. Convenor Report: (available here)
This report, presented by Jackie Cumberbirch, covered proceedings of Aberdeenshire Environmental Forum from the 2007 AGM held on 20 November 2007 until this, the 2008 AGM held on 21 November.

5. Treasurer's Report: Statement of accounts, provided by Ron Reid (Treasurer) was presented by George Niblock and accepted.

6. Election of Committee and Office Bearers: Committee members: With 19 places on the committee and less than this number presenting as candidates no ballot required, all candidates present duly elected to the committee. Existing committee members unable to attend to be contacted to ensure that they are willing to continue.

7. Presentation by Dr Adam Watson – ‘A few thoughts about Critical Thinking’ (available here).
This presentation, given by a leading Scottish biologist who, in the course of following his personal quest for truth, has been an arctic explorer, mountaineer, ski-mountaineer, and prolific author, broadcaster and photographer, has carried out many significant studies of Scottish wildlife and is a recognized authority on many aspects of the environment, particularly that of Scotland.

Following a short break for refreshments, provided by Strathburn Primary, Jackie called on Mark Stephen, presenter of Radio Scotland’s ‘Out of Doors’ program, to present the awards for 2007 - 2008 to those representatives of the projects who were able to attend the meeting. Following each presentation recipients gave a brief talk on their project.

Following the presentations Jackie thanked all those present for their contribution and attendance then closed the meeting.
